High-profile incidents have been a wake-up call last year to significantly strengthen our cybersecurity defense. A key part of this initiative has been to accelerate the conversation and information sharing between the government and the private sector. To this end, the White House launched a series of sector-by-sector efforts to safeguard the Nation’s critical infrastructure from cyber threats through public-private 100-day action plans.
The first of those action plans has been the U.S. electricity sector launched in April 2021 and led by DOE in close coordination with CISA. This effort was followed by a 100-day action plan for the natural gas pipeline sector in July 2021 and a third action plan for the water sector in January 2022 led by the EPA in partnership with CISA.
We can expect the administration to continue this series of sprints through all 16 critical sectors defined by DHS. The team at Network Perception is committed to protect mission-critical assets across all operational technology networks through better visualization and verification.
